WHAT IS DYSA? A Sunday afternoon Around the Buoys sailboat-racing program for children ages 8-16.
WHAT IF WE CAN'T AFFORD THE FEE? DYSA offers needs-based scholarships for the Sunday afternoon sailing program. To qualify for a scholarship, the student/family must meet the criteria for the school district's free/reduced meal program.
WHERE IS IT HELD? At the City of Dunedin Municipal Marina, 51 Main Street, Dunedin, FL 34698
WHO CAN PARTICPATE? Anyone between the ages of 8 and 16 provided he or she can swim 50 yards in the bay without a lifejacket. Previous sailing experience is not required.
HOW LONG IS THE PROGRAM? There are two 9-week sessions per year, one in the fall and one in the spring.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? $185 for a 9-week session, which includes the use of an 8’ Optimist pram. Lasers and 420's are available to sailors who complete the pram program.

IS THERE A SUMMER PROGRAM? DYSA does not offer sailing in the summer. The City of Dunedin, the City of Safety Harbor and the Clearwater Community Sailing Center offer summer sailing camps.
